Caritas Ivory Coast
Caritas Ivory Coast, social structure of the Catholic Church of Ivory Coast, was created in 1955. It is present throughout the territory and is mobilized through 15 Caritas Diocésaines and more 450 Caritas Paroissiales to help the most disadvantaged populations. These Parish Caritas are the operational teams with more than 20 000 Basic Ecclesial Communities (CEB), where we strive to make the Charity fully live for more than 50 years.
Caritas Ivory Coast aims to promote the development of all men and all people by creating a consciousness of solidarity, sharing, social justice and peace in harmony with the values of the Gospel.
Caritas Côte d'Ivoire has three main areas of intervention: assistance and urgency, development and human promotion, the fight against HIV / AIDS and tuberculosis. She also advocates and works on social cohesion, reconciliation and peace building.
